About

Joshua Jamieson is a communications professional as well as a filmmaker, author, and artistic director of his own film production company, Moxy Productions. He also helms the Jamieson Family Memorial Scholarship and is an

LGBTQ activist.

Writing

Joshua became a published author at 18 with the release of The Teenage Years... Mapped (Breakwater Books) in 2002 and wrote one of the Queer Monologues (2014; Breakwater Books). Joshua is a freelance writer for print media. He has contributed to The Telegram and was a contributor to Tint of Ink and backBeat.

Film

Moxy making films began with FATE, a silent short film that brought three souls to an unexpected outcome. Joshua then produced, directed and wrote a documentary, Just Himself: the story of Don Jamieson, and a commemorative Choices for Youth short film. A new short, Waiting Outside..., is currently screening internationally at film festivals.

Stage

Moxy Productions started on stage with All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten by Robert Fulgrum, Brad Fraser's Poor Super Man, Rope by Patrick Hamilton, and Hardcore by Jonathan Hall.
